Jul 15, 2025

However, the coloring of the Fuji apple was initially less than ideal. Fortunately, it inherited the Red Marshal susceptibility to bud mutation from its parent variety. Consequently, in the 1970s, Japan launched a large-scale survey of Fuji apples, aiming to identify superior individual plants and lines with excellent bud mutation performance.
