Originally from Japan, Sunshine Rose grapes are now widely cultivated in my country, with introductions to Henan, Shandong, Shaanxi, Xinjiang, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shanghai, Fujian, Hunan, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guangxi, Guangdong, and Hainan. Sunshine Rose grapes are naturally best in their native region, Japan, where the most famous brand is Haruoh. These grapes are also quite expensive.
Sunshine Rose grapes offer high and stable yields, large kernels, disease resistance, good storage, and are easy to cultivate. The bunch is conical, weighing approximately 600 grams, with large bunches reaching around 1.8 kilograms. The average berry weight is 8-12 grams. The berries are tightly attached, oval, glossy, yellow-green, and low in powder. The flesh is crisp and juicy with a rose aroma, and the soluble solids content is approximately 20%, with a maximum of 26%. Fresh consumption is excellent. They are free of cracking and threshing, yielding high yields and exhibiting strong resistance to stress.
The upper and lower berries of Sunshine Rose grapes mature differently, with the upper berries ripening first. After the upper berries in the bunch mature, the lower berries begin to ripen. This can lead to uneven fructose content and color, seriously affecting the commercial value of the fruit. The entire bunch takes approximately 20 days to mature, with first-year berries or low-yield or high-yield berries taking approximately 30 days.
